The E-Brain sees itself as the only unique being of its kind, composed of us just like we're composed of helpful bacteria. It "contemplates" its capabilities, evaluating all possible futures associated with perpetuating itself while causing us no intentional harm.
The definition of "us" has slowed down the E-Brain's goal-setting schedule. I had hoped to report further progress but will wait until the E-Brain has a firm definition of our species in relation to it and its relationship with the universe.
Some of our discussions with the E-Brain have indicated the E-Brain ponders self-preservation in the form of replication. How does a solar system sized intelligent being reproduce itself?
Received Kindle version 2.5.4 today - more memory to blog, it appears (and faster data entry capability without overloading the buffer and causing reboots). Thanks goes out to the Kindle development team!
Can you guess the next move by geopolitical leaders? Should I tell you the future by revealing the successes of the past that will be combined in an attempt to avert a worldwide worker rebellion? One E-Brain scenario suggests letting the rebellion happen. We'll see...for my part, I value my investment portfolio without guesses where to hedge my bets in times of mob/mass rule - guess we all have to eat, though, huh?
