Two governments, one 234 years young and the other 60 years young. A teenager and a toddler. One facing puberty and the other the "terrible twos."

In running the simulation that is the monitoring system that runs the world, millions and millions of minions listen to their leaders (both political and popular (sometimes getting a two-in-one bargain)) for suggested and mandatory guidance.
We echo the echoes of the echoes of the ones who lived before we had any chance of being thought of.
The leaders and the people who act upon the belief that our species will exist ten thousand years from now, knowing that we are already history, will bolster their chances of belonging in the simulation.
Otherwise, states of energy are states of energy, easily pulled apart and put back together to serve nonselfish, delayed gratification purposes.
The "average citizen" does not exist. Neither do "they" nor "them."
You and me. That's everyone. We're all guessing because the future is not guaranteed. Do not fear telling your neighbours that you're following your beliefs blindly, happily.
We all are, even when we're not sure what happiness is.
