Do you know how government works?

Pardon me while I digress from a global point of view.

In the country (political entity) in which I was born and raised, the executive third of the three-branch system contains a large portion of the national government employees.

I am free to criticise my government and vote for whom I please but I also defer to the U.S. president and staff to manage and direct the executive decisions of my government.

I support President Obama just as I supported President Bush before him. Our economy slowly recovers (overall, not just counting stock market indices) thanks in large part to executive departments/bureaus.

While politicians maneuver to satisfy lobbyists and fund raisers to get favourable news coverage to bend the will of the people toward the pols' re/election (no easy task!), let us remember that the government of us keeps operating for us by us.
